Before the surgery, I was really stressed every time I looked in the mirror because of the sagging jowls and deepening nasolabial folds that came with aging. As my face started to droop, people would say I looked stern or even intimidating, which made me feel even more self‑conscious. Even when I tried to smile to soften my expression, the sagging skin only made the lines around my mouth stand out more. That’s why I decided to get a facelift and neck lift together this time.

Since I’m a full‑time homemaker, I didn’t have many reasons to go out after the surgery, which really helped with my recovery. These days, even grocery shopping can be done on my phone and delivered right to my door, so I was able to stay home and focus entirely on resting. Now that I’m in the second week, I still have some bruising around my face and neck.

But as the sagging skin that used to weigh down my jawline has tightened up, my facial contour looks much smoother, and I can already tell that my once‑harsh expression has softened a lot. The loose skin on my neck, which bothered me so much, also seems to have lifted nicely. I still feel some tightness when I smile or turn my head to the side, and there’s noticeable redness around the incision near my ears. Still, considering how big of a surgery it was, the swelling is much less than I expected, so I’m feeling relieved and staying positive during recovery.
