–Before functional nose surgery–

In Korea, treatment for rhinitis and functional nose surgery can be covered by insurance. Cosmetic rhinoplasty done only for appearance is not eligible, but surgeries for breathing problems or deviated septum are recognized as medical treatments and thus covered.
Hospitals often perform rhinitis surgery together with functional rhinoplasty, where the functional part is insured and the cosmetic correction is paid by the patient. Ultimately, the Korean insurance system distinguishes between “surgery for breathing” and “surgery for appearance,” supporting health-related treatments while leaving aesthetic improvements as a personal choice.
