Home/K- Nose Community/Gangnam Bulbous Nose & Big Nose Surgery Swelling — When Does It Go Down? (2 Months Post‑Op)

After getting bulbous nose correction and big nose surgery in Gangnam,

the biggest question I had was how long the swelling would last and

when the nose shape would start settling.

Before surgery, I clearly told the doctor that

I absolutely didn’t want a pinched-looking nostril shape

or the blunt, wide look that bulbous noses often have.

Now that I’m at the 2‑month mark, the swelling has gone down significantly,

and the “pinched” look I was worried about has completely disappeared.

The nose tip looks more defined, and the correction for the bulbous nose

is visibly clear as the swelling continues to reduce.

My nose was originally quite large,

so even without implants, it looks surprisingly high and structured.

The doctor told me that big noses need a slightly more dramatic lift

to show improvement from the front — and it turned out to be true.

If you do bulbous nose surgery too “naturally,”

the front-view improvement may be minimal.

For big noses, a more dramatic correction gives better results

and reduces the chance of needing revision surgery.
