Home/K-Antiaging Community/I went on a diet and ended up getting a facelift in Korea.[Labom Plastic Surgery]

I used to be quite overweight, but I recently lost almost 30kg. People around me kept saying I looked so much better after losing weight, but whenever I looked in the mirror, all I could see was my face.

As you can probably tell, when the cheek fat disappeared, the deep cheek area started to sag, my jawline became blurry, and even my neck looked loose overall.

At first, I thought maybe laser lifting treatments could fix it, so I looked into them. But I was told that with my current condition, a facelift would be much more effective than non‑surgical treatments.

Honestly, hearing the word “facelift” scared me at first. Still, I decided to get consultations at several clinics, and among them, the consultation at La was the most detailed and easy to understand. They even used a facial bone model to explain SMAS layer dissection and ligament release.

They analyzed how they would improve the sagging using a triple‑lifting method that lifts the deep fat, the SMAS layer, and the skin together. That really built trust.

So I ended up getting the surgery at Labom Plastic Surgery. I was extremely nervous on the day of the procedure, but it finished quicker than I expected.

The first day, it just felt tight and a bit numb — surprisingly manageable.

After one month, I finally understood why everyone says you need to wait at least a month. It looked completely different from the two‑week mark and much more natural.

Since I did a lower facelift together with it, the improvement from my jawline down to my neck is what I’m most satisfied with.

There’s still a bit of residual swelling, but so far I’m really happy with the results,

and I’m excited to see how it settles even more. I hope this helps anyone who, like me, lost weight successfully but is struggling with facial sagging.
